Liverpool FC vs Arsenal

Seemingly ‘the game’ of the week, EPL Champions, Liverpool will be welcoming Arsenal to their fortress, Anfield and there is a lot to expect from this game.

Both teams have a 100% game winning record so far, and this tie might be the one to break it for either of the teams.

Liverpool faced Chelsea last week and got all three points with Sadio Mane scoring a brace. Apart from the boys who won the EPL, Liverpool announced the signing of Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota last weekend and both players seem like brilliant additions to the team. Since Mikel Arteta took over Arsenal in December 2019, Liverpool have not won a game against Arsenal. However, Jurgen Klopp will strive to make things right for his team and what better way than at Anfield?

Arsenal started the season very well and only managed to break away from a draw against London rivals, West Ham with an 85th minute goal from Nketiah to secure 3 points but they cannot afford to allow such at Anfield. Mikel Arteta who is the first Arsenal manager to win his first match against Liverpool since 1947 will be looking to end Liverpool’s unbeaten run at home (Liverpool have not lost at Anfield since April 2017) but will be lucky to get a point if they linger like they did last week.

The Reds have won their last 4 PL home games against Arsenal and if Jurgen Klopp’s men get it right despite the fact that their captain, Jordan Henderson is out due to injury, they should be able to get the 3 points they need at this game.
